Company History:
2017
– Larry Bull, President/CEO and Owner of High Performance Holdings LTD, Inc, an Illinois corporation announces that effective January 1, 2017 it will change it’s dba name from Rockford-Ettco Procunier to Createch Machine and Design.
2013 – Members of
Rockford-Ettco Procunier’s management team acquire Createch, Inc., an automation
design consulting firm headquartered in Machesney Park, IL and co-located the
business in REP’s Rockford, IL facility.Createch Design, LLC’s expertise in designing industrial automation
equipment complements REP’s machine building capability as a benefit to both
companies’ customer base.
2012
– Rockford-Ettco Procunier's Lakeland, FL operation is awarded a long term contract to manufacture ITW Professional Automotive Products division’s lines of automotive aftermarket fluid exchange equipment marketed under the Wynns and QMI brand names.
2011
– Rockford-Ettco Procunier acquires the
assets of the former Universal Automatic Corporation of Des Plaines. IL. Universal Automatic, founded in 1957,
designed and manufactured specialized machinery with a focus on drilling and
tapping. This acquisition further positions the company as the go to source for
specialized drilling and tapping solution.
2008
– Rockford-Ettco Procunier re-energizes the objective of the heritage companies
by aggressively pursuing the opportunity to bring unique solutions to the needs
of today’s manufacturers for reduced cycle times, productivity improvement and
application of LEAN methodologies.
2007
- Rockford-Ettco acquires
Procunier and changes name to Rockford-Ettco Procunier, combining the positive
attributes of all three product lines under one corporate umbrella.
2006
– ETTCO and Rockford Drill Head are
acquired by Larry Bull and renamed Rockford-Ettco.
2004
– ETTCO is acquired by Rockford Drill Head and relocated to Rockford IL
1995
– ETTCO designs and manufactures first
CNC Tool Changer style Drill Head and Tapping Head with angular drilling
capabilities.
1981
- Procunier relocates from Chicago to Lakeland, FL.
1980
– Rockford Drill Head designs and manufactures the first universal joint
for high speed / long life use on universal drill heads.
1974
- Company expanded to meet sales of
larger machines to John Deere and Gunite Corporation.
1972
– Rockford Drill Head is founded by Clayton Lewis, Henry Wilson, and Dave
Johnson of Rockford, IL. The company designed and
developed a standard line of universal heads and self-contained hydraulic
drilling and lead screw tappers.
1963
– ETTCO is relocated to York PA
1925
– George Emrick is
granted a patent for the first Self-reversing Tapping Head
1924
– George Emrick, now with Ettco, is
granted a patent for the first Tapping Clutch.
1914
– George Emrick patents the first of several
Quick Release Drill Chucks.
1912
- William Procunier begins
manufacturing of positive drive reversing tappers with friction chuck and
non-reversing friction tap chuck in Chicago, IL.
1901 – Eastern Tube and Tool Company, the predecessor to ETTCO was founded by
E.T. Trotter in
Brooklyn, NY. Products included tapping heads, drill heads and
specialty machines.
